Charlie Ahuna

Charlie Ahuna is 14 and an eighth grader at Kea‘au Intermediate School. He is a proud descendant of Joseph Kekuku, the inventor of the Hawaiian steel guitar.

Charlie was introduced to the steel guitar by his grandpa, Joe Ahuna, in December, 2024.

After learning about an opportunity to perform in Italy, he began lessons with Alan Akaka and has since performed at international festivals in Italy and South Korea, proudly carrying on his family's musical legacy.
