Queens' Marketplace Kanikapila

A performance kanikapila was held at the Queens' Marketplace in Waikoloa Village. The location of the kanikapila was moved due to insufficient available space at the Mauna Lani because of a competing event.

The kanikapila was well-attended by both festival musicians and area guests. Participating musicians included festival steel guitarists Alan Akaka, Ethan Goore, Bobby Ingano, Mālie Lyman, and Geronimo "Geri" Valdriz, musicians Joseph Ahuna, Jr., Kaipo Asing, Nate Goore, Kaipo Lindsey, David Woodward, Helene Woodward, and Brett Zimmerman, and NextGEN Charlie Ahuna, Hi‘ipoi Lindsey, Isaac Woodward, and Schuyler Woodward. Hula was provided by Leilani Kahoano, Kapuanalani Lopes, and a guest from Japan.
